Bawsey Harvest 2017 (12 photos)
The ruins of St James' at Bawsey remain a sacred space that is still used. We continue to hold a Harvest service there usually combined with a short walk around the fields and a strawberry tea to end.

Music in Country Churches. A series of three fabulous concerts held in St Mary's, Great Massingham. The English Chamber Orchestra played Vivaldi on a balmy evening July 25th 2017. Carole Cerasi & James Johnstone played 2 harpsichords during a morning recital of the Brandenburg Concertos. That same evening the Skampa Quartet gave a recital including Hayden, Mozart and Beethoven.

Gayton School Special Service Jan 2017 (34 photos)
Within the benefice there are 5 schools and 4 of these are Church of England Schools. A great deal of work takes place in all our schools to introduce the children to the beginnings of Faith. Each School has special services within their own Parish Church and these photo's celebrate the children's work during a special service held in January 2017.

Norwich Cathedral visit 2016 (35 photos)
The Benefice had a day out to Norwich Cathedral on Oct 1st 2016. Forty One traveled by coach to have a special guided tour followed by lunch in Priors' Hall. Later a couple of hours of free time for looking around the city before home.

George Plunkett album (24 photos)
George Plunkett was born in 1913 in Norwich. He acquired a 'box' camera in 1931 and started building a photographic survey of Norwich. Aware of its limitations, he replaced it the following year with an Ensign Carbine number 7 which lasted the rest of his life. This was a very professional camera which had a 'rising front': the lens can be moved parallel to the film to include tops of buildings without tipping the camera backwards. This helps keep parallel the vertical edges of buildings, instead of them appearing to converge. He developed and printed over 1000 rolls of black and white film himself, arranging the contact-sized prints in albums according to subject matter or street name.
We are very grateful that his son, Jonathan, has allowed us to include these high detailed photographs of our Churches, that were taken between 1952 and 1995.

Messy Church goes to the Beach 2016 (25 photos)
Each year Messy Church has a trip to the beach for children and their carers. Sun, sea and sand and just good times with games and a picnic as well.
